STUFFED ONIONS

large white onions
1 large green pepper
1 lb. ground beef
½ t. garlic salt
S&P to taste
½ lb. cheddar, cut into strips
1 cup tomato sauce (flavored is okay)
Boil onions
in salted water 45 minutes. Let cool. Gently remove centers of the
onions; chop centers and green pepper. Fry until brown with meat
and seasonings. Place onion shells in a casserole; stuff with ground
meet filling. Top with cheese strips and tomato sauce. Bake at 350
degrees for 45 minutes.
