ORANGE
MARMALADE BREAD
½
cup margarine, softened
½ cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 (10 oz.) jar orange marmalade
2-3/4 cups flour
2 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
½ t. baking soda
½ cup orange juice, unsweetened
½ cup walnuts, chopped
Cream margarine
and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix
well. Blend in marmalade. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and
baking soda. Add dry mixture to creamed margarine mix alternately
with orange juice. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased and floured loaf
pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Test with toothpick for
doneness. Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan. |
