TOFFEE
1½
sticks butter, melted
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup blanched almonds, chopped
1 cup chopped pecans
5 small chocolate bars
Combine all
ingredients except pecans and chocolate bars.
Cook, stirring
constantly and rapidly, until mixture starts to smoke.
Pour immediately
onto buttered cookie sheet and spread as thin as possible. Place
chocolate bars on top and when they are melted,sprinkle pecans over
top and press in. Cool; break into pieces.
