Chicken Pie

envelope instant mashed potatoes, prepared as on package
1/8 t. nutmeg
½ t. onion powder
1 egg, beaten
¼ pound brown and serve breakfast sausage
1 (10.5 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
½ cup milk
1 ½ cups cooked chicken in large bite size pieces
1 cup cooked veggies (carrots, peas, etc.), well drained
Butter and paprika
Mix
nutmeg and onion powder into prepared potatoes; stir in beaten
egg and set aside.
In
skillet, brown sausage until crispy, drain and cut into ½
inch slices. Lightly butter a 1 ½ quart casserole.
Mix soup and milk together until smooth and pour into prepared
casserole. Stir in the chicken, cut up sausage, and drained
vegetables. Spoon mashed potatoes onto top of chicken mixture
a tablespoon at a time. Dot top with butter and sprinkle with
paprika. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until filling
is bubbling and top is browned |
