NAVAJO
TACOS
6 cups flour
3 T. baking powder
1/4 cup corn syrup
1 t. salt
3 cups water
Mix all ingredients
together and set aside for 20 minutes before frying. Roll tablespoon
of dough in ball and roll in flour. Pat dough flat between hands.
Fry in hot greast at 350 to 400 degrees.
Topping
1 pound lean ground beef, browned and drained
1 can (15 ounce) chili
1 cup water
1 pkg (1.5 oz.) taco seasoning mix
shredded lettuce
shredded cheese
chopped tomatoes
sour cream
Add chili, taco seasoning
and water to meat. Simmer 10 to 15 minutes. Spread meat mixture
on top of fry bread; top with tomatoes, cheese, lettuce and sour
cream.
