SKILLET LASAGNA

lb. lean ground beef
¼ cup oil
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
4 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 lb small curd cottage cheese
5 cups medium uncooked noodles
1 T. each basil, oregano and parsley flakes
1 t. salt
1 cup water
8 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded

electric skillet.
Brown ground
beef in oil in skillet, stirring until crumbly. Add onion and green
pepper; sauté for several minutes and drain. Spread evenly
in skillet. Pour 2 cans of tomato sauce evenly over beef mixture
then layer on cottage cheese, noodles and seasonings. Pour remaining
2 cans of tomato sauce over the top, then pour 1 cup water over
layers. Bring to a boil over high heat; reduce to simmer for 30
to 35 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and continue to simmer covered
until cheese melts. |
